AVM Software HearMe Reviews

Summary of review published by PC Magazine — June, 2008

HearMe is a small player in the web-conferencing field. Its service is considerably cheaper than others in the market. It has a patented multicasting technology that lets you set up large online meetings with voice capabilities. There’s no need of installing any software as everything is web-based. To access HearMe, you just have to login into your account. Once you’re in, you can set up a meeting. Sharing video is also simple via the Enable Video button. Despite ease of use, the video quality was unimpressive because of its tendency to freeze and jump. On a good note, HearMe can share the attendees’ desktops so that the group can annotate on one another. HearMe is great for groups of 10 to 150.
Pros:
-Multicasting support for a number of attendees
-Everything’s online
-Simple videoconferencing procedures
-Good interface
Cons:
-Some audio problems
-Jumpy video
-Less features than others
