ASUS Lamborghini VX3-A1Y Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — May, 2008

The mark of a Lamborghini gives off the sense of luxury and power. That is why when ASUS used it for the Lamborghini VX3-A1Y, you can easily tell that this is not your usual notebook. The 4 layers of paint used for the lid is the same one on real Lamborghinis, giving it a nearly scratch-proof surface. With the titanium-alloy frame, a sapphire crystal webcam, and a leather palm rest and you get a notebook that’s oozing with luxury. Performance-wise, the reviewer stated that the VX3 outpaces the competition in nearly all categories. Benchmark scores for graphics and performance were above average compared with the thin-and-lights class. ASUS wasn’t skimpy when it decided just how many ports the Lamborghini VX3-A1Y should have. Battery life seems to be the waterloo of the VX3. Even with a hefty 9-cell battery, you can squeeze only around 5 hours of typical use. And just as a real Lamborghini doesn’t come cheap, the Lamborghini VX3-A1Y comes at a whopping $3,299. If you’re in the market for a luxurious and powerful notebook and have the money to burn, the Lamborghini VX3-A1Y is an excellent option.
Pros:
-Beautiful and luxurious design
-Excellent performance
Cons:
-Very expensive
-Bulky 9-cell battery
-Short battery endurance
