Just when you thought you’ve seen the smallest there is, here comes 3M with the MPro110 Pico Projector. The MPro110 is so tiny, it fits into an actual shirt pocket. It measures only 2.0 x 4.5 x 0.9 inches and weighs just 5.6 ounces. Due to its size, the singular control mechanism is a small button-size focus wheel. The MPro110 features a very tiny LED lamp and image engine that 3M introduced in January. The projector includes only two small inputs, both proprietary and designed to mate with special cables that can connect to standard 15-pin VGA and RCA composite video ports. While it got top scores in portability, the reviewer noted that it achieved some of the lowest performance scores in a projector. It scored just 9 ANSI lumens for brightness and a mediocre contrast ratio of 48:1. The battery is also problematic, lasting only 30 minutes - less than 3M’s claim of 40 to 60 minutes. Having a pocket projector may sound cool, but for now, potential buyers might want to steer clear from the MPro110 Pico Projector and invest on a larger and possibly more expensive projector.
